UPDATE: 22 July - Sleeping Cool
UPDATE: 11 June, 2011 Cooling Kerchiefs
Cool down a hot night in bed.Take a large gel pack out of the freezer (the kind you might use to keep a cooler of food cold), wrap it in a washcloth, and slip it into your pillowcase on top of your pillow. Put a second wrapped cold pack down by your feet. When you pull heat out of your head, neck, and feet, your whole body cools down, and you’ll be able to get to sleep.

How about your UPS driver, Mail Carrier, or other service providers? The Cool Wave is a great gift that, once used, will become a part of daily summer life for many. I have often thought of my trash truck driver in the summer months. It must be soooo hot. These people will love it and it could be their early Christmas gift! They would certainly remember you for it.
Using ice cubes to keep cool - One tried-and-true method is to wet your wrists and other pulse points with cold water, and then keep those spots cool by holding an ice cube wrapped in a face cloth against them. The relief is immediate, and this method will cool down the entire body — by as much as three degrees Fahrenheit—for upwards of an hour.
Also: Keeping Cool
Keep hydrated, reduce sugar and alcohol intake.
Another consideration is to make sure your adrenal function is up to snuff. Many people who are unable to tolerate high heat may have low adrenal function. Herbs, foods, and minerals that support your adrenals usually are salt and water bearing: Celery, Ashwaganda, Celtic salt (a lick a day is all you need or add 1/8 tsp of this naturally low sodium salt to a glass of water once daily). Vitamin C and B complex will also strengthen adrenals. Or you might wish to try kidney tapping.
